April 02, 2012 @10:28 am What's good for the goose is good for the gander. The Town Board is elected by us, the PUBLIC. And, the only way to make sure our elected officials are doing the job WE hired them for, is to participate in government. I applaud Ms. Stein and Ms. Mezzina for recognizing that the Town of Hempstead Town Board is not doing the job it was hired to do. And, I encourage all citizens to particpate in government, at any level, otherwise, government will fail us at every turn. The Animal Shelter as a $7.5M budget. The Board needs to ALLOW the new Shelter leadership to do the job they were hired to do, to use the funds for the animals and not just move it around the patronage chess board. CatLuvx3
